This started out as a series of shots taken on the top of a mountain in Andorra, using my shiny new Powershot S2. Up there was likely one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Hell, there was even some snow up there. And it was 30o+. In August.
I was considering stitching it together and submitting it as is, but felt that was a tad dull, so I went with this Polaroid concept I had. And the result is what you see.
If you don't 'get' this, then let me expain quickly. I was trying to convey how quickly moments pass; how quickly memories fade. And before you know it, you can barely remember what happened. The relevance of that to this panorama is that I was standing there about a week ago, yet it already seems like a lifetime.
Hope you like.
P.S. The .psd source file has a resolution of 10824x1837. It's now official. My computer must hate me. heh.
Awesome job. It looks like it would be a great picture normally, which is enough for me, but this effect is really awesome. It really makes it interesting...I love it!
That name rings a bell. I remember that this was shot after a fairly long hike, and there were about 3 large lakes up in the mountains around this area. Yeah, I really liked Andorra - did you visit in the summer or the winter?
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P

I've been there twice now, both times in the summer, but the first time was only for a weekend really. Really stunning place.
